yikes.. nothing really has been going on... hardly any shows to talk about besides the one i will get to in a minute... just been chilling around the burbs with Sam and Abbey... just kinda doing our thing... for the last couple days it's been ungodly warm out.. and humid and disgusting. so we sit inside with the air on and watch movies...
OH! OH.MY.GOD!
so. The Blackhawks are going to the Stanley Cup!! that's pretty big around here. haha.... we just swept San Jose in the western conference 4-0. we won the last game of the conference last night. it was a pretty intense game. We were down by 2 in the 1st period but then scored twice coming into the 2nd and then got two more at the end of the 3rd. it was pretty epic. So no we're in the Cup against who knows right now.. either Philly or Montreal. It'll be a sick game nonetheless. I can't wait!
ok. the last show i was at was a AM Taxi/Tyler Hilton/Spill Canvas show +The New Politics. all the bands were great... i really didn't know most of them... haha... Sam dragged me along, she really likes Spill. I knew of AM Taxi and Tyler Hilton (who is super hot)...
after the show we waited around to talk to the bands, met Tyler Hilton, got some pics... super awesome... then we waited outside for Spill but they were being lame and such.. so we walked across the street to get food and the guys from The New Politics came in after us... so we all sat in there and ate dinner with them... super cool guys. Two of them were from Denmark and some of the things that Sam and I were saying, they didn't understand. Like when we said we usually hang out in the burbs... they didnt know what the burbs were and we were talking about hoses and they didn't know what that was either... it was funny... the other guy was from New York and so he kind of helped us out translating our lingo for them. haha
but other than that... i think there was a Kidnap/Danger show a few weeks back Sam and I went to... and an after party.. that's the cool part. We're friends with the bands so we just get invited to after parties and shit... and all the other like creepy fan girls just watch us leave sad and depressed that they're not as cool as we are...
School's out... for now... we'll see what happens in the fall... I don't know what's going on with that.. I don't really like thinking about it.
My birthday is coming up... 22 isn't that big of a deal, but we're gonna party. Sam's birthday is the day after mine so it's just gonna be one big hoopla of birthday. : ) haha
other than that... there's not much else to say...
There's some shows coming up in June I'm super stoked for. The Fastest Kid Alive is on the 4th... which I am SO EXCITED about. they haven't played in over 6 months and I love them. then on the 13th is another kidnap show... but like how many times can you go see them and get excited about it? haha... but we'll still go. maybe hit up the Danger show on the 19th.. but we'll see about that... it's a touchy subject.. haha.
ok. well i don't think i can think of anything else to yammer on about on here... so i'll peace out for now...
